Weather FAQ's & Cancellations

Common sense must always play a part in
our decisions of whether or not
to set up due to certain weather conditions. Therefore, these rules are
not
hard-and-fast, never to be varied from. They are strong
guidelines
which we use to make sometimes tough calls that may possibly effect
your event. Please know that we always make decisions with the utmost
concern for your Safety and Satisfaction. We
thank you
in
advance for your
understanding and cooperation.
Due
to
consistant poor weather conditions, we will not be making OUTSIDE
deliveries in the
winter
month of JANUARY.
Thanks,

What
if it Rains?
As a general rule, we do not set up in the rain. In
the Spring/Summer/Fall Season
there is almost always a chance of
rain. If there is 50% or less chance of rain we will plan to
set up. If there is 60% or 70% chance of rain, we give our
customers a chance to reschedule, cancel or go on as planned (Please call us
before your drop-off time, which could be earlier
than your scheduled hours of playtime, if you want to cancel
or reschedule). When we
do not set up there is NO CHARGE.
If we do set up, the full amount will be charged. If there is
a 80% or higher chance of rain, we will make the decision and
contact you to reschedule or cancel your event.
Again, if we do not set up there is NO CHARGE.
Why? Quite
simply, rain and vinyl may mix on a water
slide, but jumping and flipping on a wet bouncer can cause serious
injuries. While our moonwalks do have a roof, they simply can not
stay dry on the inside when wet kids are in and out of them. Your
safety is our main concern.
In
the Late Fall & Winter Season the rain
policy is different. If there is 30% or higher chance
of
rain, we can not set up. When we do not set up, there is NO CHARGE.
Why?
Quite simply, we need HEAT to help dry the units out once
they have gotten wet, and the cold temperatures in the wintertime make
that very difficult to do. Also, if a unit gets wet and then
experiences
freezing temperatures before it can be dried, damage to the unit can
result.
What
if it's too Cold?
In Late Fall
and Winter Season the temperature must be 43°
or higher
before we can deliver, and we
must pick up before the temperature falls below 43°.
When we do not set up there is NO
CHARGE.
Why?
In the summertime when temperatures are very warm, the vinyl gets very
soft from the heat(optimum bouncing). In the late fall & winter
season the opposite is true; Cold temperatures cause the vinyl to
get very hard and
stiff (difficult to bounce on) and
damage to the units can result from flexing the vinyl. It is also
very difficult to pickup & roll vinyl inflatables in cold
temperatures. Our employees (setup professionals)
also
become much more prone to injury when the temperatures get too cold.
What
if it's too Windy?
In the
Spring/Summer/Fall Season, wind speeds cannot exceed 20-25
mph, and wind gusts must
be considered as well.
In Late Fall
& Winter Season, wind speeds cannot exceed 15-20 mph.
When we do not
set up there is NO CHARGE.
Why?
This is strictly a safety issue. Even though we anchor your
unit securely into the ground, excessive winds can create a real safety
issue if they get too high. We must also consider wind chill during
the late fall and winter if the temperatures are close to the minimum
required
and the winds are approaching the maximum allowable.
What
if I cancel for a reason---OTHER THAN WEATHER?
You can
cancel with NO CHARGE if you
give us at least 14 days notice.
If you cancel within 14 days of your event, there will be a $50
cancellation fee.
If you cancel within 7 days of your event, there will be a $75
cancellation fee. If we are able to reserve your item with someone else,
there will be NO CHARGE.
Please
keep
in mind, once you have reserved an item, we have set
it aside especially for you.
We
have
most likely turned away other
business, for that day, because of your reservation.
Please
let us know if you have any other questions.
Your
Safety and Satisfaction is our main concern.
Thanks!
